Durham Invites Residents to Help Shape the Future of Biking and WalkingSurvey Participants Have a Chance to Win a $50 Gift Card DURHAM, N.C. – Have ideas on how to make biking, walking, and rolling in Durham better? Residents are now invited to provide their input to help update the 2025 Durham Bike+Walk Plan, a guide for improving sidewalks, bike lanes, greenways, and other infrastructure. Residents can participate in several ways:
Why Resident Input Matters The updated Durham Bike+Walk Plan, expected to be released in summer 2025, will identify new projects to improve sidewalks, bike lanes, and greenways. This update builds on the 2017 plan and seeks to address what is working well and what can be improved. Resident feedback is essential to ensure the updated plan reflects community priorities and makes Durham’s streets safer and more accessible for all. How to Participate Take the Online Survey The online survey will remain open until 5:00 p.m. on January 17, 2025. Use the Interactive Online Map The online input map includes both the City of Durham and Durham County. Residents can use this map to share location-specific thoughts and concerns about walking and biking.
